NYX Ombre Lip Duo Swatch

This is going to be my first ever makeup Swatch post since I have started my blog. I may not be too professional with the pictures required but I am trying my best and I am sure will get hold of it 🙂

Okay so this ones related to my latest NYX collection – Ombre Lip Duo which I received as a pre birthday present from my sister.

As you can see in the picture, the side which is a shade darker is the liner to line your lips in dark shade and the side which is a shade lighter is for filling the center part of the lips. The lip liner and the lip color are very soft and glides easily as you apply. The color is  very pigmented it stayed on my lips for a long time which is good as I don’t like giving touch ups every now and then. Also my lips were not dry. I saw three shades Nude, Pink and Red. 

                

It is a good option if someone does not want to buy a lip liner and a lipstick separately because you can always create an ombre look using other dark lip liners and light shades lip color. But overall this product is good as it is soft, easy to handle with nice pigmented colors.

 

 

MAXON Skincare Range review

Perks of being a Beauty Blogger are always there where you get to try new products and get introduced to new brands. But I believe writing about skin care range is a bit difficult job because every skin type is different and each skin takes time to adjust to the product and show results, one cannot convey any message properly to consumers until unless they know exactly what are the results and benefits from those products. I am so glad that I got to try this new product which I am writing about today  which has done a great job to my skin.

Last month I received skin care products by MAXON a company from Canada. I was initially introduced to them by Glambox through which I had the chance to explore them more – and I am glad I did.  Maxon team sent me their Soft White Skincare Range based on my skin type and I must say these have become my every day ritual. They are designed to lighten and brighten your skin tone and give an even tone. The four products which I received were

• Soft White Facial Wash
• Soft White Serum
• Soft White Cream
• MAX 100

Soft White Facial Wash: It is a transparent gel form face wash which is gentle to skin. It removes excess oil, dirt and light makeup leaving the skin soft and fresh. I use it twice a day, once in the morning and then in evening and really it give a clear clean & calm effect to my skin. This is a non-irritating face wash which keeps skin PH level balanced. Just squeeze a small amount on hand it lathers up easily and massage on your face concentrating on T-zone if you have oily/combination skin.

Soft White Serum:  This is by far my favorite serum because it has really brightened my skin. I had uneven skin tone earlier – my T-zone was darker than the rest of the face and had pimple spots but since I am using this from one month now I am getting an even skin tone and my pimple spots have started to disappear. It has no fragrance and the texture is like water which spreads easily onto face. It uses a blend of Fruit acids, Aloe Vera and natural skin brighteners to enhance skin radiance and give smooth bright skin. I use it twice a day, once in morning then evening but the product says do not expose to sunlight directly after application so I apply before almost 3 hours before going out in the sun. This can easily be used under moisturizers, makeup or sunscreen.

Soft White Cream: The cream is for lightening skin complexion which contains rich ingredients like Bearberry extract, Licorice root, Vitamin PP, Green tea which is used to lighten skin tone and dark spots. It has a thick soft texture with very mild scent. Honestly you will feel very light scent while taking out the cream and the next second you won’t feel the smell at all.  Just a small amount easily spreads on the skin which gives a nice glow and a good even texture. The good part is my skin didn’t turn oily as the cream properly absorbs on to the skin.

Max 100: After applying all the above I apply this amazing sunscreen which enhances my glowing skin. It’s a non-greasy white colored and fragrance free cream which when applied gives moisture and maximum protection to skin with SPF 50+

My overall experience with Soft White skin range from MAXON has been great. My skin has changed in this one month’s time period and I am seeing great results. This is a good product for people having any skin type because I had tried them on the ladies in my family with different skin type and they are seeing difference too. It’s just that you need to understand your skin and how to use the product according to it. I am looking forward to try out more more products from Maxon.

My Little Travel Partner

I am literally in love with Avene Thermal Spring Water, Thanks to Glambox for introducing me to this amazing product which I didn’t know about earlier.

Avene Thermal Spring Water is actually water that emanates from a spring in France where it undergoes a natural filtration process which makes it a purest form of water possible. Earlier when I checked the ingredient list I was actually surprised to know that it has two ingredients only – Spring water and Nitrogen which was used to pack it up in an aerosol spray bottle.

This spring water can be used on various issues like

• Sunburn
• Rashes
• After hair removal
• Irritation on skin
• During summer
• During travelling
• Facial redness

Rimmel Gel EyeLiner & Mascara

Today I’ll be writing about the two must have beauty products in your makeup box – Scandaleyes Gel Eyeliner and Glam eyes Day 2 Night Mascara both by Rimmel London and my personal favorites.

I’ve been using Rimmel’s Gel eyeliner from few months now and I find it to be really good. It is a waterproof pigmented liner and stays up to 24 hours. I saw three different colors Black, Blue and Brown but I have used color Black which is very intense and gives a nice dramatic look to your eyes and it dries out quickly as well unlike some gel liners which take some time to dry out completely. The good thing is that a professional brush is already included in the pack so you don’t have to purchase a liner brush separately, it gives a perfect thick and thin lines from inner to outer corner of the eye which really brings out your eyes. The best part is it dosent flake smear or smudge at all.

Rimmel’s Glam Eye Day 2 Night Mascara is a 2 in 1 mascara giving Length and Volume to your lashes with two different brush strokes. The packaging is quite attractive with pink and black design giving the packaging itself a glam look. The two caps of the bottle are properly labeled mentioning which brush will give what result. The top brush gives length to your lashes and the bottom brush gives volume with no clumps at all. For  a day, office look or when you want to keep minimal makeup you can just us the length brush to your lashes whereas for an evening/party look you can use both length and volume strokes.

Both these products are easily available at beauty stores at a very economical price range.
